Memory Verse With Explanation

Galatians 4:1-2 NIV‬
[1] What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. [2] The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father.

I remembered having a conversation with my dad one time during my childhood days that made everybody seated there burst into laughter.
I asked if i could get money to buy "pampers"(Sanitary Pad) seeing as my elder sisters were using one LOL!! Yeah feel free to laugh at my childishness as everyone who heard the story after that day laughed at me and called me miss pampers.
I wanted to do grown up stuff when i wasn't even at that stage yet. I hadn't started menstruating but i wanted money to buy pad that i wasn't ready for, I thought it was the coolest thing to do as girls i didn't realise i would first have to spot miss red flag before getting my own pampers.

Today's scripture is no different from my childhood tale.
No man gives a child his inheritance in his immature state for he would waste it, he has not the slightest clue what it is about nor how to maintain it.
This is what apostle Paul was speaking to the Galatians about.
We ask for things we aren't fully prepared for but just like the prodigal son we are bound to waste all our Father's resources and then cry fowl seeking second chances.

Do you realise 90% of the things we are praying for as God's children, we aren't ready for?
There's a certain amount of maturity required for you to obtain the promise, case in point Joseph: He had a dream about being a ruler over his brothers and the first thing that came to mind was joyfully telling his elders that they would bow to him? Little wonder he got sold into slavery. Joseph though being an heir was a child and wasn't given the promise till he had become mature in the things of the Spirit. As a ruler you need high level of discretion, you need your decision making ability sharpened and your cirlce of influencers carefully selected. Joseph lacked these skill set and so was thrown into a pit first. You would think he should have gotten to the palace instead but no little Joseph you have a lot of growing up to do.

We as children of God have been sent to this world to rule over it like our Father Christ did, we are finishing what he started. As an ambassador of God's kingdom here on earth  we are often times prepared through the toughest of storms before we are sent out to bear witness to God.
If you know anything about God's method of schooling you into maturity you'll understand why Joseph went to prison. God would take you through series of pruning before giving you the promise. He is not just called the refiners fire and the launderers soap for nothing.

Back in the scripture days no man gave inheritance to slaves, slaves were not considered family but instead properties to be owned and passed down to descendants as most of them were spoils from cities conquered in battles.
Apostle Paul's analogy of slaves here is not to reduce us to the level of slaves but to better help us understand why we need to study to show ourselves approved.
You can't come into Christ as babes and remain as babes forever. You don't get to receive the promise as babes in this kingdom.
No man gives a car to his toddler to drive now does he? Why then would you want God to bestow a mantle or blessing that you can't handle? You are going to self distruct if he does. You need to come up in thinking and dealings with the things of God first.

Today in the body of christ we see a lot of immature leaders who clearly skipped stages preaching the word of God, a word they themselves have no idea what it is about. A word they haven't put into practise, just dubbed and given to people verbatim. They do not understand the systems of the kingdom they claim to be representing and you wonder why there are so many fake prophets in town today?
Just like the prodigal son they have wasted the inheritance given, in some cases they never got the inheritance at all they are just operating on "vibes and inshallah" jamming scriptures here and there, sprinkling the name of Jesus on it like chef salt, 90% motivation 10% scripture but you don't know that do you?

A lot of men/women of God today have since lost their anointing but you can't tell, you are a babe yourself so you don't know these things.
Anyone who launches out hastily before being released would burnout faster than a latterns wick. You only learnt how to attain you failed to finish the course because you think you know It all now you're struggling to retain. You have turned God's pulpit into a stage for concert all because you're trying to entertain members into staying? If you had the anointing you wouldn't need packaging. Packaging is needed when there's no substance in the first place.
You as a member who has left all the work to your so called man of God to handle for you can not see that it's a case of a blind leading the blind here, they just add some gibberish called tongues and you fall under a satanic anointing? Hmmm!!

The inheritance is not only for a selected number of people, it is for all of us as Christ's followers. We have been called to do the work of Kingdom either through our marriages, businesses, jobs, communities, politics, market places or even churches. It is our duty to represent Jesus in whatever sphere we find ourselves in, but Christ would not pass on the baton to you if he knows you won't kill it but rather it'll kill you!!
You need to grow up if you haven't or aren't making an effort to. You can only take milk for so long, meats are reserved for the strong and mature ones.
Come up thither!!

Note: This also includes every promise you're waiting on.
Shalom.

Matthew 9:16-17 NIV‬ [16]  “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. [17] Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”  In this japa(migration) era a lot of content creators have made fortunes off creating migration contents as most Nigerians are either relocating or planning to relocate. If we're being honest out of every 10 friends or family we've heard at least 8 of them speaking enthusiastically about migrating so this isn't news to any of us now is it? But one thing that caught my eye in recent times about this Japa virtual content is the number of views they get per post. I.e "How i relocated to Canada = 200k views in 6days from an account with less than 1k subscribers Ahhhh!! What can they po...

Matthew 6:25-26 NIV‬ [25]  “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? [26] Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Since i was born and now i am getting old never have i seen or heard that rats lost weight as a result of food inflation. I have never heard that wall geckos ever ran out of supplies to the point of carrying placards to protest before God. I haven't also seen where wild animals in the jungle like lions and crocodiles ate weeds. They always had their supplies undisrupted.  Animals who were created less than us have since creation been provided for how much more you and i who were made in God's image and likeness? Impatience is not what we suffer from as humans but trust issues is. We fear what...

John 13:26-27 NIV‬ [26] Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.” Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. [27] As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.”  PART ONE: THE BETRAYER If you live long enough you'll experience the worse kind betrayal that comes from people who are members of your inner circle. One thing about betrayals is that it always comes from people you break bread with. There's a Nigerian proverb that says "Na rat wey dey inside dey tell rat wey dey outside say food dey"(the snitch is always from someone within) I wish it was an outsider, we won't feel as much pain as we do when it comes from someone trusted. I have had people who i broke my back showing up for turnaround to stab me in the worst possible way ever. I wept for months unending, didn't get clo...
